I have a shrieking migraine so calling my reps offices isn't on the table. Enter @resist.bot - let's me edit and re-edit my thoughts about ICE cruelty and send to my rep and senators with ease.
What is the federal government prioritizing lately? Cruelty to immigrants, throwing away proven vaccine science in favor of influencers, ignoring the need for accurate weather forecasts, and escalating violence. What SHOULD they be doing with my tax dollars? Feeding and housing people who need help, making sure teachers have what they need for the next school year because it can't just be up to the states, making sure we're able to help victims of severe weather (hurricane season - it's real!), or heck just NOT ESCALATING VIOLENCE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY. Florida is like many states - it benefits greatly from immigrants within our state. They are brave, hard working people. ICE is just full of dudes who want to play video games in real life, they don't bring anyithing good to our state or our country. I'm much happier to have people here who literally feed us than give another dime for contracted masked vigilantes. No more ICE raids ruining lives. No more wasted money on vanity military parades. Car seats are literally required to take your new baby home from most US hospitals and - generally - used often isn't an option because of safety standards. The article's chart really drives home the point of just how cruel the current US tariff policy is for new parents in the US.

Everything is frayed around the edges but at least we'll be caffeinated for the collapse. We tried Kitty Town Coffee in smaller amounts & we're sold so we ordered a quantity to hopefully avoid tariffs for a bit. Coffee + woman owned + gives $ to help cats = a good deal.

Another day, another good use case for @resist.bot - getting back the federal grant money that's helping the most vulnerable in my state (FL) . Feel free to use my text to harangue your own statr reps or sign my petition if in FL too.
I have heard panicked reports from organizations helping the most vulnerable Floridians that the federal grant money they apply for and use to run orgs to help seniors, children, homeless, veterans and other citizens of this state have been summarily yanked. I want to know what the heck my elected representatives are doing to make sure we get back the tax dollars Florida sends into the federal pot and were promised via grant applications to help Floridians. It's obscene that through a flippant EO that the current president can just sit on that money that's part of the budgets of orgs helping people all over our state. Have you ever been through a grant process? It's NOT like going up to an ATM and getting money, it's incredibly hard work and those awarded grants have proven their merit. There's a special kind of #PowerBI heartbreak when you want to fix a naming mistake when creating v2 of a model, then validate against a thin report pointing to v1. When do you want the pain of the name change, now or later, and who gets to bear that pain? Oh for some kind of aliasing.

Head's up if you create #MicrosoftFabric support requests: the UX through the Fabric Admin portal is a bit confusing for old schoolers. The Power Platform Admin Center experience is better -- easier to tell that it recognizes your Fabric subscription. Fabric Portal option looks like a header.
The Fabric Admin Portal ticket process is misleading -- there is text at the top of the Support Plan popout that looks like a header, but can actually be clicked on as an option. Power Platform Admin Center ticket dialog process easily shows a dropdown where you can select your Microsoft Fabric Subscription as your support plan.
