Had my blood pressure medication doubled this morning. At the same time I’m happy it’s moving in the right direction. Diastolic regularly under 90mmHg. Systolic…meh but not 😱🤯

Just found what I thought was a quite cool poem hidden in my iPhone notes app. A chirpy cheery cadence with dark matter.
Turns out it was notes I made on my eldest’s mental health when she was 13/14 years old 😢

I need to share with you all that I am very, very drunk. I’ve had a thoroughly fantastic night out at the A&E / Ambulance Service Xmas party. A. drunkest I’ve been in 3 years. B. a real eye opener to see people in very high pressure jobs let their hair down. What a night.

Realising I'd given up bringing in minis and paints to work, especially on the night shift, because 1. we are far too busy at night and 2. it is far too cold if i accidentally leave the paints in the car to freeze. Well guess what, I've done nothing for the last two hours and it is really mild out.

So Scooter, my eldest’s fat Jack Russell was much worse this morning. Took him to the vets where he was found to have a temperature but no obvious reason for the rapid onset of apparently cerebral symptoms. Apparently dogs don’t do strokes.

My Fat Jack Russell ™ is very unwell. Vet diagnosed epilepsy. My thoughts are closer to a stroke. He can’t weight bear and is struggling to keep food down. Will update tomorrow

Working up the courage to contact victim support. Still haunted by an unprovoked assault on duty 18 months ago. Last December perpetrator was a no show at court. No contact with the PF office to update me yet he is still out and about in the town where I work

I have just tried to use the find my app on my app watch to try and locate my spectacles 😕. Needless to say it didn’t work. But I’m sure someone could design a tiny unobtrusive rfid tag for them.

I’ve been wide awake for 2 hours now and it’s gone 7.35am. I should get up and take my morning meds but I’m so cosy, I’ll probably disturb the dogs and therefore the whole house will be woken. Another half hour won’t hurt would it?

So it turns out that despite various insults to the contrary in primary school, I am really, really, really Scottish genetically. 93% Scottish (51% Central Scotland/Ulster, 34% Hebrides/Western Highlands, 8% NE Scotland), 4% Irish (Donegal/Leinster), 2% Dutch, 1% French.

On Sunday I took the two youngest up to Edinburgh to meet up with my father for a light lunch. We went to Two Children in Stockbridge where No. 2 Child works but never announced ourselves to either the staff or him (apparently he was working the grill that day). Really enjoyed it.

An interesting story but where does Alice Cuddy come up with the idea that Bottrop is “near” the Dutch border. It’s 45 miles and over an hour’s drive away. Like saying Oxford is near Westminster

Just discovered my colleague got a GOC 1st Armoured Division commendation for his actions in the first Gulf War. He saved the life of a US soldier and tended to 2 others in an overturned Humvee.
