I only wish it was easier to actually use the DAGs. To test independences etc… Not happy with dagitty functionality on that. But yes, most people just think of it as a nice figure. And you can clearly see when they did it just because: there are just a few nodes and arrow…

"Eating this food is associated with this disease!" Ok cool but that's not research, that's output from a regression model. You haven't answered any of the actual important questions that you would have if you treated your paper as doing research and not as explaining regression output. 2/n
