Exhausting veteran of 27 years' worth of internet. I still invented liveblogging.
I'm pretty sure that's him. (Like you have to ask which.)

"Are you supposed to be Keith Hernandez?" Siiiigh. The kids don't know.

My late father took me to see MoMA’s Richard Serra retrospective in 1986. The museum feels like a memorial now.

Also digging this. Thank you, J*mash*p, for stocking the pre-"Come Together" version oh so briefly.

One last one. Another shot from Ulysses in Nighttown, with famously difficult actor Zero Mostel looking soulful and TLJ looking like you could store water in the hollows of his cheeks.

A guest list from Studio 54. (Every archival image I've posted comes from collections.mcny.org btw.)

Super glad this ad was uncovered in my neighborhood, super sad it’s going to disappear again.

The fragrance is Dunhill’s Edition because I like to keep things “random,” as the kids say.

Last month's purchase. Best marine scent I know: an impolite salty white floral.

I was curious about Twitter's job search function—part of Musk's attempt at turning Twitter into the everything-app—so I took a look. It's pathetic. Somebody did the bare minimum of effort to humor their boss.

In 2020, the boss of my boss asked employees for suggestions for a thoughtful response our design company could make to Black Lives Matter. I said, well, what if we publicly announced we would no longer be taking on law enforcement as clients? He acted as if I was about stick my finger in a socket.

Why do you have to be so cryptofascist, current client of my former employer?
March 21, 2024 at 8:09 PM
Why do you have to be so weird, flea-and-tick meds commercial?

I am still too unstudied to figure out Yoyogi's notes on my own; I interpret it primarily as something like pine at the maximum extent of its sweetness. Mown grass is listed as a note, and I *kinda* get that if I squint my nose real hard.

Yoyogi is a park in Tokyo, a modern one. The area was home to the Olympic Village and a rather snazzy suspension-roof stadium, both built for the 1964 Summer Olympics, before being incorporated into a park three years later.

Comme des Garçons Fragrance of the Day: Scent Four: Yoyogi (Nathalie Gracia-Cetto, 2019) The fourth "collaboration" between Comme des Garçons and Monocle Magazine, and yes, I'm still putting scare-quotes around "collaboration."
