As to the work team, it includes a number of other collaborators from USC: Enrique Latorre, Alba Moreno, Dolores García-Arnaldos, Alejandro Gracia, and Pablo Valencia, as well as Matthew Chrisman, Violeta Conde, Sergio Guerra, Matteo Plebani, Andrés Soria, and Dan Zeman from other institutions.

Besides me, the research team includes Concha Martínez-Vidal, also from the University of Santiago de Compostela, with whom I’m thrilled to work.

The aim of the project is to elucidate the concept of evaluation as it appears in a variety of fields, under the hypothesis that all the cases we are interested in share a feature we call “ineliminability of perspective”.

And thanks to the SEFA board -and to its Herculean treasurer- for all the work and support without which such a large, lively and intellectually stimulating congress would not have been possible!

In the paper we argue that a version of normativism about mental disorder that incorporates assessment sensitivity can help us block three classical objections against this family of views: the “Flippancy Problem”, the “Repugnancy Problem”, and the “Explanatory Problem”. Hope you like it!
