I definitely wouldn't trust random AI image "detectors", sightengine is what I currently trust, and they've been updating it as new models are released

No, it's more likely this is AI generated. There are artifacts that generating images leaves in the image itself that you can train on, and these detectors have a very high rate of accuracy.
