There is a line in this article which I 100% agree with:"I think the root cause is that we stigmatise mental illness and we consider people who are struck down by it as somehow unworthy." I think this explains lack of funding for MH services and MH research. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

I’m very supportive of the actions of #NSWpsychiatrists. But I can only think that if this was any other area of health but #mentalhealth , society and government would not have allowed the system to deteriorate to the point that this was a sensible option. www.theguardian.com/society/2025...
