<div class="field field-field-text"><p>Israel on Tuesday continued to violate the ceasefire agreement, bombarding Gaza with artillery, Palestinian media have reported. </p>
<p>Israeli warplanes opened fire on the eastern areas of Gaza City and the Tuffah neighbourhood, Wafa news agency reported. </p>
<p>The report added that Israeli fighter jets also launched air strikes east of Deir al-Balah and east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.</p>
<p>Since the ceasefire on 10 October 2025, a total of 405 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces, while 1,115 others were reported wounded, Gaza's health ministry said on Monday.</p>
<p>According to a statement issued by the ministry on Telegram, a total of 70,937 Palestinians were killed since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on 7 October 2023, while 171,192 others were wounded. </p>

<div class="field field-field-text"><p>Israel's security cabinet has approved a new proposal by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Defence Minister Israel Katz to recognise 19 new settlements in the occupied West Bank. </p>
<p>The settlements are spread across five regional councils. A total of 69 settlements have been recognised under Smotrich.</p>
<p><meta charset="UTF-8"></p>
<p data-end="447" data-start="312">Reacting to the decision, the finance minister said: “We are preventing the establishment of a Palestinian terror state on the ground.”</p>
<p data-end="535" data-is-last-node data-is-only-node data-start="449">All Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank are illegal under international law.</p>
