Was surprised by how well it held up when I watched it recently. Still need to watch the sequel and remake, might get around to those soon-ish. Think a lot of beginner filmmakers should take notes from Lewton and how he made the most of his limitations. Early Roger Corman, as well 🙏

I’m drooling at the thought of Muse doing a Bond song. I need it to happen now. Radiohead’s rejected track for Spectre was far better than the Sam Smith one. Pisses me off to this day that they didn’t go with it. It wasn’t particularly ‘Bondy’, but it stood out way more to me than what we got.

It really did feel like they were trying to replicate the success of Skyfall with the last two tracks. I did really like NTTD as a song. Very moody, but still had that Bond sound. The Spectre track was horrific imo. I’d kill for a rock opener like You Know My Name again though.
