Appalling that the BBC provides a platform for those who spew hatred and division in the name of 'balance', yet drives out someone who speaks up for inclusion, togetherness and equality.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Delving through the @dropout.tv back catalogue and just discovered Total Forgiveness. HOOKED. I think Dropout really is the best value streamer out there with such great original content.

So sad to hear this news about one of my favourite places.
The Blue Lamp is closing on 30th December after 75 years. Rising costs have made it impossible to keep going.

Aberdeen doesn't have an abundance of live music venues, and losing this one hurts. Once these places are gone, they're gone.

The Blue Lamp to Close After 75 Years
A huge blow to Aberdeen's music scene, that will see the city worse off.

The cat just sat with us and watched an entire episode of Um Actually on @dropout.tv, intently staring at the screen, and it is gratifying to know he is as much a nerd as we are.

Robin Hood opens at Aberdeen Arts Centre tonight with Philip Napier back as dame for his sixth Talegate panto. This year he's Nurse Little Joan in a show packed with Doric humour.

Local talent fills the cast with daft songs, in-jokes and family-friendly mischief.

Talegate’s annual panto returns with local laughs, polished performances and genuine heart.

Looking for contacts at small theatres/venues across Scotland, seating 50-100. Especially Inverness, Glasgow, Stirling, Perth, Dunfermline - but also interested in other areas that have active, show-going communities.

Thanks in advance for all your amazing contacts!

Two thirds of the way through @michaelmisrubbish.bsky.social's excellent memoir about being in We Are The Physics. Crying with laughter. Just read about their set at TITP 2007 - the first band I ever saw at a festival, and the first time I ever saw WATP. What memories!

Ross Noble was fantastically funny, as always. Brilliant improv blending seamlessly into scripted bits, you never quite know what was planned and what wasn't. Masterful.

Only about half a decade late, but just finished watching The Good Place and man that's a great show. Funny in all the right places, with a surprisingly moving finale.

Every year my dentist has a Halloween pumpkin carving competition for the staff. The kids in the waiting room place their votes with glee. So do the adults. Sometimes it's the smallest things that elicit the biggest smiles.

STV North cannot be allowed to disappear.

Centralised Scottish news has a bias towards the central belt. Always has, always will.

By removing the northern edition of STV News, we risk losing an outlet for important stories from Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness, Moray and the Highlands.
