I'm just starting out in the space (first game with my box art comes out next year) and I would love to see more beautiful games. Who would you recommend I follow? Any places on the web dedicated to board game box art?

That summary feels right. Maybe going offline while we build a better online is the right way to go about it, I don't know. But you have to actively build the thing that's going to replace it. There's not going to be an offline world with offline politics and offline discourse for those who want it.

I don't think going offline is going to work either. It's become an undeniable aspect of life - which means: politics, capitalism, the system. And we still participate in those, offline or not. Denying yourself a place at the table is a disadvantage if intolerant people take over those spaces.

I feel like I would end up paying and the company running it would still extract the same amount of personal data and advertising value from me while not using the funds responsibly, just making the C-suite richer. I don't think I'm being too cynical here.
