I mean I could still have written the popover in react but the JS culture for better or worse does not encourage that neither does having packages for everything at your fingertips.

This culture has massive upsides: speed being one of them but that comes at the expense of maintainability imo.

There is a space for learning and improving that not having a package for everything opens up.

Finally got a hang of creating workers using buffered and unbuffered channels in go + finished another book + my son is growing + my wife is still the best. Yay!

The Tour of Go on go.dev is the best place to start. Otherwise dave.cheney.net/resources-fo... has a great list of resources. Especially the Go community on slack where the “newbies” channel has loads of resources and people to help with any question you may have
