I'd already had a bad experience at the emergency psych area years prior, so I didn't want to go back. But they lied about what they were doing to make me stay.

It hurt. It hurt it hurt and I was afraid that I wouldn't be released for a while and I was scared that my loved ones were freaking out.

The care team said that I'd see a psychiatrist, but they didn't mention the whole "stay in a locked room with other mentally unstable people overnight" thing. They said I'd see a psychiatrist, but only after I put on some scrubs, grippy socks, and went into the room.

I cried for hours in there.

No one deserves to worry about when they'll have their next meal or how they can afford necessities. That includes you.

You deserve to have your basic needs met and have nice things too, because you're a person. People deserve nice things.
