A far better approach would be to Tax those Gas exports properly (like Qatar & Norway) and use the money to boost electrification efforts in Australia.

We don't need more gas.
Gas consumption for electricity generation in the (NEM) has fallen by about 57% from 2012 to 2024, as renewables have risen sharply.
We just need more pumped hydro + batteries. Bills will drop as soon as we get lots of competition & the big Gentailers can't rig the system.

We don't need more gas.
Gas consumption for electricity generation in the (NEM) has fallen by about 57% from 2012 to 2024, as renewables have risen sharply.
