under these circumstances, starvation is a deliberate tool of oppression and is a form of physical violence as it makes living a healthy life physically impossible. the threat of unemployment is the threat of physical violence through starvation, which itself is a form of psychological violence.

here is where you can find the violence, for example through starvation: starvation in the second quarter of the 21st century could easily be eliminated as we do have enough resources and production the feed the whole of the human society. but we do not under our capitalist reality.

if the grocery worker can't organize for better conditions with the threat of getting fired, can't find a better job, and has to work there one way or another, they will have to accept these horrible working conditions so that they can just survive and not be able to enjoy life on a low income.

let's go with some solid examples from turkey. a grocery worker works in turkey under extremely exploitative circumstances, usually for 6d/week for 12h/day for an unliveable income. high unemployment rates, weak labor laws, and terrible working conditions are infamous in turkey.

the threat of unemployment is one of the most basic and systematic forms of oppresion. if a person can't contribute their labor power to the society they can't benefit from it. unemployment opens the way for starvation, homelesness, crime, etc.; in short, depravation of one's basic human rights.

labor power is absolutely necessary for the survival of the individual and for the continuation of the society. exploitation in this context is the unjust apprehension of one's labor power and the right to disposal of this stolen labor power. capitalism requires exploitation to exist.

i think im just overwhelmed and depressed from all these news popping up and i need it to be over. i don't think i will post here or anywhere else either. im kinda brittle as a person anyway, way too cold and way too easy to break.
