I liked how the cast was “always a 1/2 step behind” the villain, as they said at one point. It gave that little bit of extra suspense: even people thinking quickly and logically (sure hypnosis is… out there… but it wound up helping) could barely keep up.
Kinda had ‘The Thing’ vibes for that reason.
