A single infusion of a stem cell-based treatment may have cured 10 out of 12 people with the most severe form of type 1 diabetes. One year later, these 10 patients no longer need insulin. The other two patients need much lower doses.
People With Severe Diabetes Are Cured in Small Trial of New Drug
Most in a small group of patients receiving a stem cell-based infusion no longer needed insulin, but the drug may not suit those with more manageable type 1 diabetes.

Saw this beautiful Bonnard Painting “Paradise on Earth,” at the Art Institute of Chicago. Palette made me wonder if Moebius was looking at Impressionist and Post-Impressionist palettes. But it was this specifically strange edenic composition and its mystery that invited the thought.

Reading a comic by Moebius for the first time. It’s interesting how much of his work has meme appeal but I actually rarely see books in stores. This is from the SAIC library. Edena is sort of an epic.

I think I am officially team “separate the art from the artist.” It relieves me of the obligation to show up for social events. I think “FOMO” in contemporary art is symptomatic of its tenuous morals.
