my assumption is they made that comment to clarify that it’s a system that’s purely for gaming, and that it’ll lack a lot of basic features, so i don’t think it’s just for valve hardware but more that if your sole use of your pc is gaming then it’s fine, otherwise you’ll lose functionality

only stores the vod of streams <12h but yeah i agree. the issue is that twitch is like barely used as a video on demand platform in the same way youtube is, and they don’t wanna burn even more money when they already are on streaming. still just insanely annoying and just dumb on their part though.
