The flared gills of this gorgeous, tropical-colored Hygrocybe mushroom caught my attention. It almost looks like a bright orange and yellow flower 🌻🏵 🍄📷 📸🎞 🌿🌱 🟢 🍄 📷 🍄‍🟫
Hygrocybe mushrooms, also commonly called waxy caps or wax caps, often have bright tropical colors. This one is a great example of that. Its stipe is a neon yellow, and the cap is a fruity orange and red. The top of the cap of this mushroom isn't visible in the photo, however, since the gills have flared upwards, and the shot angle is from the ground. The underside of the gills is a deep orange-red.
