Started integrating 3D buildings in game. Carefully adding assets and porting everything over from the blender scene to godot.

Note: lighting will eventually be baked 🫡 Probably going to bake the lighting in Blender using geometry nodes, or build a tool for […]

Electrolyzer level 1, by @khaleer_art

The hydrogen can be further stored in multi fuel tank, burned in the backup generator when the grid is down, or used directly by inter-island freighters in a fuel cell.

Sneak peek at the cool stuff @YannKervran has been working on using Dialogic.
"NinePatchrect for texts and changing boxes for textures for background."
That certainly looks like something we can use to style the UI.

Excited to dive into this more next year and […]

A video from Alejandro Libonatti, a 3D character artist working on Yuna.

While most of the game models we're making will be quite a bit simpler, this test using metahuman LOD5 to take advantage of the free control rig is cool. This could be useful for pre-rendered cinematics, as it can be […]

Sketching some more player characters. These are PNG avatars that the player picks from and is used in dialogue.
It does not affect gameplay, but there will be "archetype" specializations to pick from; engineer, metalworker, union leader, that provide bonuses […]

The style for expedition illustrations will probably be centered about watercolor, which makes it effortless to do dramatic clouds emblematic of the sea of Hirwazh.

Medium: watercolor + digital (Touched up some sky values in procreate).

Found a great deal on books that are getting retired from the public library.
Among them, the legendary cours des Glénans on coast navigation.

This will be used as inspiration for events, expeditions, and UI style.

@esklarski created an event bank and used event-audio plugin to call them from anywhere using:
EventAudio.play_2d( {trigger string} , null )

You can check out the plugin at: https://github.com/bbbscarter/event-audio-godot
