The only reason The Firm felt obligated to chuck Citizen Andy under the bus was because the Govt was threatening to open the books on the Crown Estates. A deal has been done behind closed-doors and we are merely being shown the public teaser trailer.

Is the US public waiting for a leader or lacking the political will to revolt?

Takes 3.5% to topple a Govt. #NoKinfs was 7 million so ~5 million short.

Really? You state in your thread that Parliament will not be constrained by a previous Parliament. Why? Because Parliament is sovereign and jealously guards that right ever since they removed the head of Charles II.
We will see how willing Parl't is to voluntarily constrain itself.

One cannot have any discussion of a UK Constitution without settling the quedtion of sovereignty. The King has it & by Proclamation shares it with Parliament. Both woukd have to relinquish it in favour of the new document. Neither will do so.

"It is not, however, the decisive moment itself. It is the threat. Its success will depend on whether it can now evolve (using tactical diversity) and fracture the elite and security-sector consensus that holds the administration in place."

Lucy had a "Lucy Listens" this evening. Just over halfway through she addressed the question of ekectoral reform. Although she supports it & recognises the multi-party landscape, she does not think it a 'priority'.

Not a lot of listening to members really.

Surprised? More disappointed.
