We both eyed each other as we went our opposite ways but that could have gone super bad without properly respecting that these animals are wild and I was in their territory, more or less.

We went about our businesses sure, but a person has gotta be hyperaware when in the same space as wildlife.

Yeah encountering coyotes in the unincorporated wilds is fascinating. I'll never forget how I went on a walk during lunch at work and crossed paths with a coyote who was crossing the street (in the crosswalk!) perpendicular to and away from me as I was crossing.

While I've never come across raccoons all that often in real life, I def want to stay the hell away from them. I also stay the hell away from skunks, who seem to have beef with me. I got rushed by one once while I was minding my own business on a walk.

Also people please stop feeding wild life.
