This is the best title for a book I've seen this year. It instantly made me want to read it.

Here's a free idea for someone with more time than I have. Put this on products and start selling these to folks who want to indicate what we think of recent political events. Just saying.

According to my reading database (which I only started in the 90s, although I've attempted to fill it in with my childhood and teen reading), the author I've read the most individual "works" (i.e., short story counts as much as a novelette or longer) by is Theodore Sturgeon.

What about yours?

First book read (well, actually finished, as I started reading it last year) in 2025 is Alan Jacobs' The Pleasures of Reading in an Age of Distraction. Perhaps not for everyone, but for those of us trying to rekindle (pun intended) our love of reading, quite insightful.

We were in the area so we stopped to see the McDonald Observatory. Happy to note we weren’t alone and that science is still of interest to some people.

Every year I write our holiday letter in a different style. (Not alone, mind you, my wife contributes--but I'm typically the one to come up with that year's style.) What will it be this year? 🤔

Mossburn Cask Bill #2 Speyaide blend added malt in the Lufthansa Senator lounge. Our flight is delayed and I don’t care.
