Tavs I'm currently rambling about: #SolTav #EdTav #MercyDU
Prior to the abduction, Annabelle lived a very sheltered life. She was a noble with extremely protective parents. So, the nautiloid was without question the scariest thing she had ever experienced. She was terrified, certain she would die. It's a good thing Solstice and +
Look. Can we even say Mercy did anything if he has no recollection of ever punting it? One second it was running towards him, the next it was dead at the base of the tree, and there was blood on his boot, and oh gods, he kicked the squirrel, didn't he?
It was the first time he +
This actually happens some time post-game! I've briefly alluded to it before but a few years into their search for a way for Astarion to be in the sun, the two of them get recognised by a group of bandits and Solstice gets kidnapped.
The bandits watched them for a few days and +
Who would save your Tav/ Durge if they got kidnapped?
And what would happen to the kidnappers?
so, fun story, when i was making Mercy i was worried about him being too similar to Solstice
SO one of the biggest key differences between them was how they handle their instruments.
If Mercy is disarmed he has no problem beating you over the head with his violin. This +
Solstice doesn't do vulnerable, he's gotta stay strong and never show weakness... Until this backfires and he has a mini-breakdown in Act 3 due to the stress of. well. everything.
After that, if he's feeling down he'll get Astarion's attention so they can sit together in private +
Solstice would've been a fighter, just as his dad was training him to be.
Even as a bard he's prone to running headfirst into fights he really should be in the back for
If your Tav/Durge weren't the class you picked for them, what would they be instead?
#RolimOC would be a sorcerer, like his mom
#VincentOC would be a Berserker, he certainly has the rage for it
#Durge #ElegysOC would've been trained by Bhaal's cult to become a rogue, an assassin
(i was aware at the time that the long blue hair was very Solstice which is a part of the reason i changed it)

Look... Solstice tries to be a good person. But he ain't above a little theft so if he finds a bag full of gold pieces he's keeping that.
If he finds out that it belongs to someone who desperately needs it, then he'll try return it. Otherwise, it's his now, sorry.

ive talked about it plenty before but idk if i ever mentioned how Solstice felt about killing his father. his feelings on the matter are VERY complicated. On the one hand there's relief that his dad can't hurt him or the rest of his family anymore. On the other, that man DID love +
Given his training from his dad, Solstice fits mostly into weapon.
Father dearest wanted a soldier for a son, and look how that ended for him.
(dead. if you've not read any Solstice lore. he killed his dad. yeah).
Characters raised to be tools - which one(s) do your OC fall under?

Solstice is a typical bard, if he isn't yappin', something's wrong.
He loves to make friends, but pre-tadpole, he isn't very good at keeping them. No fault of his own, he was just unlucky and somehow always managed to befriend people that didn't actually like him. Or he was +
The night he killed his father. Every time he dreams of that night, it's so clear. The animalistic scream he let out as he snapped, the feeling of his blade sinking in, the smell of the blood, the ache in his arms from stabbing again and again and again long after Tharylsaryth +
Solstice is pretty adaptable when it comes to comfort, as growing up, his two sisters needed to be comforted in different ways. Aurora needed distraction so he'd talk, make up stories and play music to comfort her, whereas Nova needed cuddles and soft words. While his mother just +
What's something your tav/durge does to comfort others when they need it?
Mal might seem prickly. But when someone needs a bit of comforting he's usually there with a hug and an offer to get rid of whatever (or whoever) is upsetting his nearest and dearest.
Solstice is 37! so pretty young, especially for a drow/elf! He matured pretty quickly, due to his rough childhood and having to take on a parental role for his sisters at just 16. Buuut it's clear he's still really young when talking to someone like Halsin or Minthara.
As for +
Solstice's big brother mode kicks in and his hand stills on his lyre.
"Woah hey, you're not disturbing me. Come 'ere, tell me what's wrong? Or we could just sit? Maybe play a little?" he smiles warmly and nods his head towards the spot next to him.
“Oh! I’m sorry….I didn’t realize someone was here…”
She starts to walk away. What does your Tav/Durge do?
#baldursgate3 #bg3 #tav #durge
Solstice's bias against elves developed as a result of growing up in a town mostly populated by elves that hated his mother for being a drow, and him and his sisters for being half elf/half drow. Which was then amplified when his elven father's attitude toward him flipped. +
#tavqotd Bias thoughts, where does your tav/durge get their bias thoughts from? A family member, a tutor, a friend?
