The Center for Media Engagement at UT Austin is a first-of-its-kind center that partners with newsrooms, social media platforms, and public and private organizations to develop research, tools, and strategies that improve media practices.
Although many people expressed optimism about AI innovation, concerns remain around the environmental impact and the oversight of AI data centers.

Moving forward, it's important that we build a more vibrant media ecosystem that strengthens trust between newsrooms and the public and supports journalism that meets the needs of all communities.
