As I finish out after 35 years, I leave with mixed emotions on so many level. I would find it difficult to recommend this profession today, but desperately want to.

These are mostly younger teachers with few supporting mentors left with the time to help.

I wonder how the median age of teachers teaching has changed over a generation?

If a group of physics teachers can debate the nuances of these definitions, we should not be surprised our students struggle with it, even more.

Yes, and serious issues for learning to solve problems too. One of my requirements for tutoring is that my student must work with pen and paper.
