He evolved again with the beard, the flannel shirts and jeans look - the manly lumberjack motif. You know, the whole “I’m not gay because I have a wife and kids and look at how manly my clothes are” type of deflection.

Early in his career, he was the “cool Christian” who smoked, had tats, had a radio show in a small market (Lexington, KY). Then he evolved. He went full on right wing Christian conservative with the sport coat and khakis look.
