Joel Mokyr has published in the most prestigious economics journals, but his co-authors include people who have most of their impact in demography, history or anthropology, most of whom have never worked together. Nothing like the network of Aghion & Howitt

Philippe Aghion is _the_ economist, among his prominent co-authors are 3 Nobel winners (now 4), former chief economist of the IMF, writers of popular textbooks, all connected through co-authorships in a nice, large network of economists.
