Will never forget such fantastic support of World AIDS Day while living in Buenos Aires in 2005... wish all city governments took such a stance

Rafa keeps adding new places for next year's "Operación: Verano Fresco" vacation... making it impossible to connect the dots 😂🇩🇪

Perfect day to catch up on the Recoleta Cemetery blog... haven't had much time to dedicate to it this year. I started by adding a historic photo to the Luis Viale post: recoletacemetery.com?p=6893

As much as I love the Thanksgiving feast, perhaps my favorite part is making soup from the carcass & all the roasted veggies for the next day... cozy & comforting

So... that was a feast! Negronis on the patio (cuz it was sunny & warm), followed by a ton of food. The tomato aspic rocked, like a solid gazpacho, & apple blondies subbed for pumpkin pie. Tasty & worth the effort. Happy Thanksgiving, from our house to yours!

One thing I love about celebrating US Thanksgiving in Spain is that we're the only ones on holiday... it's like our own private festivo 🦃

Maybe the best turkey gravy I've ever made... can I just sit & snack on it? It is midnight, but who cares?

In case anyone was wondering, this big ass bird for Thanksgiving was 44€... already broken down & in dry brine. Soup stock & gravy on the way later tonight #marathon

A day & a half of intense kitchen cleaning, so I can be at peace for Thanksgiving prep. Chestnut- mushroom stuffing done, balsamic -walnut oil-thyme-garlic salad dressing made... to be continued mañana 🫡

Thanksgiving shopping day in Sevilla, but also a fun lunch at Taberna Zurbarán & Bodega Dos de Mayo... that wild boar stew rocked! 🐗

Love playing with the Roman road map at itiner-e.org

Everyone in my town has heard about the road that passed through here, but no one has ever found a trace... & very odd that a road didn't lead to Munigua 🤔

The crazy I get into for Thanksgiving: we're gonna try for a tomato aspic course. I've compared 5 different recipes & think I have a winner... we'll find out next week 🍅😬

A break in the rain means time to get these table olives going... 2 kg of manzanilla cut & soaked. Plus a gift of pomegranates from the neighbors #pueblolife
