In my teen fanfic days I know loads of us developed and strengthened our writing through writing fanfic. I’m sure my early attempts weren’t perfect. My readers connected with the ideas and emotions (or at least I did with other works).

When we were on walks with our dog we’d say he was ‘checking his messages’, reading papers or browsing the library could also work for the sniffari stop-start pauses.

High school romantic drama matters far less years on as it used to. The effects of being bullied…that is much heavier.

Like you say, there’s worse things to be remembered for!

I read about this a couple of months ago in a cheesy autumn/halloween romance where one of the characters ran a funeral home. 😂

They really were. Seemed to foreshadow so many things it’s spooky!

Pumpkin is pretty under-used here and it’s hard to get the tins but anytime I’ve made the cookies they go down a storm!

Bought some warm spiced apple juice at a market stall last week and the sellers were delighted in my enthusiasm because it’s way less of a thing here.

As a Brit who studied abroad in the US - some seasonal fall baking! Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, pie, apple cake etc

And of course to dial up the rom-com, messy flour clouds and streaks on cheeks and noses! “Oh you’ve got…”

Thank you! The stars were really bright, and my new phone is so much better at taking night pictures! This is on a suburban type housing estate so pretty cool to see so many so brightly. To the right it was so misty so that was fascinating too.

I do something similar most of the time! Sometimes I think of one, earlier on but mostly it’s a last minute looking for something within the fic that works 🙈

And then I started reading about how different cultures have different constellations. Wrong time for this silly bouncy brain. Must stop 🥱😴

This is the kind of rabbit hole I would fall down, but have now yet. I’m resisting the urge because its bedtime here 🙈😂
