I hope nobody is depending on voice recognition for all their data input needs. Over the weekend I had Siri set up a reminder for me today and now I'm trying to figure out what "Remind Lisa about Penn State" is supposed to mean. Possibly "fence date".

I was looking up more info about the smart outlet that ikea is about to introduce, the grillplatz ( or similar) and I came across a write up about it, gushing about IKEAs entry into the smart appliance space. They thought it was a barbecue!

I didn't feel anything but i got a disturbing number of notifications from the My Shake app for quakes in San Ramon. USGS says there were 5 there in 11 minutes. Maybe @drwendyrocks.bsky.social can explain why the depth on one is negative. 🤣

Dearborn has made quite a U-turn since the 70's when Orville Hubbard was mayor. I imagine there must be a lot of older residents who are quite bitter about losing their white supremacist enclave.
