Btw I've been trying to make a demo video for my other tool but I'm not sure if it's necessary? It's hard to fit this one into 3 min. Like the other one seemed like it needed explaining but this one seems pretty straightforward but maybe I'm a bad judge of that. Does this thing make sense to ppl?

Alejandra Cardenas had a delightful collaboration with Titi Bakorta earlier this year under her Ale Hop alias. This new one is quite harrowing. Poetry in this music delves into her personal history living under a dictatorship and domestic abuse. An artistic accomplishment, but a difficult listen.

I'm unfamiliar with the traditional rural Polish music that Oberkas Travel are building off of, but the ignorance won't get in the way of a good time! I love the rhythms, it can feel like time is advancing like a rope yanked out of a stubborn hole, and it is so easy to get pulled along with it.

I had it hyped up in my head a little and I'm glad it delivered! When I saw it announced it was like, I didn't realize I needed this, but now that I know it can exist, *I need it*

Young people are better equipped to talk about plugg/rage music, but in spite of my age, it's easy to see that some incredibly adventurous music is happening here. This one from 2Slimey has the colors go so far outside the lines, you forget there were any to begin with. It's an absolute blast!!

I'm not familiar with the Indonesian hip hop scene that Jaydawn hails from, but it's so great to hear his heavy and slow beats alongside the custom built instruments from Wukir Suryadi (who you may know from the band Senyawa). The sound gets pretty thick but it still grooves!

Don't be scared of the "pt. 2" on this new one from Jana H-S, you're ok to jump in here. But the story is violent psychological horror, so some fear is warranted. There's a stillness in her narration that places the listener somewhat outside of time witnessing the progression, very compelling!

I've been thinking about the challenges of rendering beauty & joy from parts of ourselves that can cause difficulties and misunderstandings. So it's perfect timing for JJJJJerome Ellis to do exactly this with their stuttering! If you have any interest in jazz that opens your heart, you must listen.

There's a great new batch of albums on Sawyer Spaces, including this lovely one from Izabela Dłużyk. Rich and active field recordings get joined by a single instrumental voice attempting to find belonging in this space, rather than playing a melody (aside from a well placed format breaker). So good!

I have seen so many who refuse to begin living the life that they've worked so hard for, because they haven't achieved an eternal sunshine of the spotless mind where *they* don't even know they're trans. It's very sad.

I think that's just for all the delta 9 stuff that got accidentally legalized a while back, the actual weed dispensary stuff should be unaffected

lol yeah Quaranta didn't really do it for me, tho I should probably revisit, maybe it'll feel different knowing that this comes next. I've still never learned to drive so I can only imagine that I would be afraid of crashing if I went over 5 mph (which, if I understand correctly, is quite slow)

Thanks for the push on this! This was one of those oddball ones I came across where I don't know the artists at all (at least not consciously) but I liked the Lia Kohl & Zander Raymond collab the label put out. But yeah now I'm remembering why I added this, such a cool sound

So, I want to be genuine and respectful here, but is this really that big of a deal? It's not a groupthink thing for me, I just think it's not a big deal to think a room looks bad. And also, she did say no offense.

Haha well it's not *impossible* at least! There's still ways to get out there that get you crossing paths with new folks in a way that can turn into something, it just seems like it used to be the kind of thing that happened automatically and now it requires a lot more intention

Have you ever wondered if music can still be metal if it doesn't have drums or much of any guitar riffs & it's got a bunch of fried strings sounding dark while a growled voice cuts thru? If so, you should check out the new one from Diego Caicedo. And even if you've never wondered, you should listen!
