End of term at Sciences Po Paris is always bittersweet, as I miss teaching the next generation of #intelligence professionals over break, but also look forward to hearing about the amazing things they go on to! This final class was a treat with guest talks by Drs Maria Robson-Morrow & Angela Lewis!

Nice to see my review of Sean West's new book "Unruly" made it into the print edition! A really good read for those curious about the intersection of geopolitics, tech, and the law!

I will refrain on commenting on the national security wisdom of this move, lots of #intelligence talent is about to flow into the private sector. If you're a former government intel professional and want to work out how your skills might apply to the corporate world, you might find my book helpful!

Delighted to be back for another semester teaching Public and Private Sector #Intelligence at Sciences Po Paris. Amidst turbulent #geopolitics, learning how corporations and govts understand their environment is crucial, and working with some of the world's brightest students is such a privilege!

The end of each semester teaching my Intelligence in the Public and Private Sector classes at Sciences Po Paris is always a bittersweet occasion, but we finished on a high today with great weather and a fantastic guest lecture from @mpolymer1.bsky.social

My book - which came out last month - has a chapter on the history of private sector intelligence (and how intertwined with state intel it often was)!

My new research project is off to a good start! Huge thanks to @ihistorical.bsky.social for sharing his phenomenal research on 30 AU (and in particularly, their mischief in wartime Paris!)

I had a great time at Bletchley Park/GCHQ's #NIHC, where I had the honour of talking about the history of private sector #intelligence (and what governments can do better to support the modern field in facing down threats to economic prosperity)!

I talk about this in my book ("Beyond States and Spies"): major corporations are increasingly exercising certain types of power in ways we traditionally think only states can.
