Happy birthday!

- in a transformation. This one leeches into real life (maybe because it’s not a comedic stereotype?) I’ve had many people tell me unprovoked how much prettier I’d be with contact lenses / without glasses. Thanks. I didn’t ask! I think people with glasses are cute, so there!

- the idea that people with glasses / visual impairments are super bumbling even with visual aids (however I can absolutely identify with Velma from Scooby Doo when I put my glasses down and then can’t see to find them), and that glasses make you the ugly character or the ‘before’ -

This was a super fascinating episode. As a creative I never want to stereotype anyone so it was really valuable to hear partially sighted people’s feelings on representation.
