We need to critical more than ever because misinformation is so rampant and it is so easy to blindly trust people. I genuinely do not listen to one singular source for information. Do I have my favorites? Yes. Do I only listen to them? No. They aren’t perfect, but they are more reliable.

What I’m trying to point out is that it is important to go check if other sources are saying the same thing & if you can find evidence of the claim. I’m in no way saying any particular politician is perfect. I’m saying that we need to be more critical of everything we hear & see now more than ever.

One of the key characteristics that you see with MAGA and Q-Anon, is that they don’t question anything they hear or see. They genuinely hear Trump say absurd and wildly false statements and his supporters will take it as fact. They will not even have a doubt about it. To them, it’s gospel and fact.

These questions include- “did this person actually say that?” “Can I find evidence to show this is how this happened and what was said?” Or even “does this person have additional motivations that they aren’t telling us?” Just some examples. We need to be verifying whether it is true or not.

I’m not going to itemize every piece of rhetoric that has been debunked regarding Kamala Harris. Plenty of people have done that and there are tons of videos. I’m talking about the blind trust in what she said and what creators echoing her were saying. It is so important to be asking questions.

I’m not saying this to shame anyone (other than Stein herself). I’m saying this because I witnessed a concerning amount of people taking her word as gospel when it has come talking about the Democratic nominee. That’s not healthy. Doesn’t matter who the person is- that’s how you fall victim to this.

The one I’m talking about is Jill Stein. What I meaning by that is that she consistently campaigns on demonizing whoever is the Democratic candidate. She only gains traction in the rhetoric when the official nominee has been either a woman, person of color, or both- a woman of color. Here me out-

What I’m meaning by this is that there are paths down the alt right pipeline that exist on the left. To be honest, I’m talking about this for awareness because we need to be questioning everything we read and see. The biggest paths right now down the alt right pipeline is one I don’t see mentioned.

We already know the obvious ones with the manosphere. We know how easy it is to stumble upon alt right content on social media. Especially YouTube Shorts. Those are, of course, insidious paths down the pipeline. But I don’t think we talk enough about those on the far left falling down it.
