Steve Martin had a play onstage at Steppenwolf Theater Chicago at the same time I was in another production on a different stage there. Knocked on our dressing room door & told us he’d watched our dress rehearsal & loved it-and he was hysterically funny & normal while hanging out in the green room

As an illustrator I have some great characters I’d like to use to create a book. So if I steal the text from Matt’s book and clean up some of the wording, I can publish it as my first book and he’s ok with that, right?

The reason he vetoed is because there has already been extensive research and he feels that spending two years doing more research is a waste. He wants to begin now. If you actually read the article and not just the misleading headline you’d see that.
