I was at a conference recently and was so moved by two talks (back to back, same session) that I cried during both and mentioned said crying to both authors in the Q and A.

Interesting! For me, nostalgia primarily occurs in terms of mental imagery with some audio attachments (I've got more mental imagery than I know what to do with and a strong inner monologue).

I'm definitely prone to nostalgia (I say "prone to" as its not always a nice experience), but my impression (based on lived experience, not data) is that Some Folks definitely exist.

Yeah, I couldn't think of a spot for it either. Your alternative idea sounds great; a student might be able to use it for a paper or some such if they are aware of it.

What an amazing syllabus! I feel like this (great) paper is sort of on theme? One of my personal favorites.
