My on-again, off-again ocean setting is slowly taking shape :)

A great sea serpent, thrashing and furious, tangled in its own coils and a skein of kelp. Free it (gently) and make a friend for life. A curiously spun bottle of green glass, floating free. Within is a captured breath and a plea for help.

Here's a couple examples of what I was referring to with this!

It showcases examples of "moments" and "encounters": MOMENTS: A balcony showcases the stunning view: a fluffy ocean of white clouds, blanketing the city below. Aerocars and orbital shuttles drift through the sky, passing each other on the way to private landing pads. A high-speed delivery drone bursts through the clouds, carrying food up to the gleaming spires. ENCOUNTERS: A gaggle of wealthy sightseers, disgorged from a swan-necked gondola that sails the clouds. A TacInt squad in full armour strolling down the plaza, as unremarkable as a beat cop would be elsewhere in the city. A service android politely inquiring if there’s anything he can do to assist you. A dry wind carries clouds of orange dust through near-empty streets. A collapsed apartment block groans alarmingly, concrete changed to the texture of chalk by the agent. A government vehicle passes through, but doesn’t stop. ENCOUNTERS: An older resident doubled over in the street, coughing up puffs of orange with each breath. A group of locals picking through the ruins, wearing old vaccsuits made for space travel. Robed cultists who stride brazenly through the streets, their faces ostentatiously unmasked.

I always want to make pretty maps for my games, but the maps I end up actually using just look like this 🤷

Here's the old layout and the new one side by side, for reference.

I liked the compactness of the old layout, but the new one gave me a lot more room to explain how the rules actually work!

Really enjoying the waterpixels filter on GIMP for turning a bunch of disparate creative commons and public domain photos into something that resembles a unified art direction!
