This feels an important take. Is the US essentially changing sides after 75 years?

Is it just me who thinks Haribo jelly babies look like little Medieval pilgrims?

How so? Because they are brown skinned not Eastern European? Or because escaping a war zone is only a thing down to a certain latitude?

England wins the Netball Nations Cup... And the BBC sports story is about another country's league game in a sport we don't even play/follow here. WTF. Back women's sports already!

Spent a couple of hours embroidering my mantra. Be calm, be kind. Gets me through a lot of challenging times.

Sunday morning from the top of Glastonbury Tor. Beautiful. In the tower was a barefoot kiwi man with a didgeridoo, loving the vibrations. Outside was a Muslim woman praying / meditating. Loudly stomping down the hill were some non-local northern accents bemoaning "people not from here".

I know it's the most basic of birds, but I'm very fond of our resident wood pigeons. They simply cannot access these feeders, yet they never stop trying. The result is a clown-like wobbly performance outside of my window daily. A delight.

When we were kids it was trolls. Right now it's tiny plastic ducks that apparently 1 girl bought 1,000 of from temu...

Nearly 2m birds spotted by Brits this weekend, a national average of 27 per watcher... And all I got was just 2 of the 3 resident wood pigeons. Why couldn't they at least have all turned up?? #rspb #greatgardenbirdwatch

Er, what's the logic in taking a MONTH to enact an account deletion on Instagram?? Anyway... I hit the button. It's done as far as I'm concerned.

YouGov is getting to the heart of the main issues this morning.

YES! The 12 y/o sent me this this morning. And thus the next generation has demonstrated he understands AI is a big fat liar a lot of the time.

Bought this today. The bookshop lady clearly didn't know it, or David Baddiel, and made a pointed comment about the title. I think she thought I would move onto Mein Kampf next.

I'm using up an old notebook. It's got a front page handily giving a 2000 calendar. 🤣🤣 #reducereuserecycle

Look at this current poll standing from YouGov. It blows the mind that there's so little difference in the perception of threat from a Russian leader compared to a US leader. Arguably, never has Europe been more important to Britain.

Lunch for a bloody cold day. What's your crumpet topping of choice? Mines butter and golden syrup. 80s childhood was weird.

Today's poem is about my recent run of poor car choices....

Just penned this poem for anyone - like me - struggling to remember passwords on their return to work. #poetry #poem

I bought the fella a badge for Xmas. He seems pleased.

If you've not bought the Radio or TV Times and gone at it with a highlighter... Is it even Christmas?
December 24, 2024 at 1:04 PM
Must be close to Xmas... Argos online ordering has a persistent "technical glitch"
