I’ve decided to cheat on my 2026 backlog list and start playing Harvest Moon early. I’m already off to an amazing start.
My farmer is standing next to a patch of seeds that I fucked up placing and lost 3 crops because of it.

FYI: You don’t have to let terminally online trans discourse spread to your spaces! If someone starts saying some transmedicalist bs, it’s easy to get them to fold by lightly pushing back against it. I’ve stopped this crap from taking root elsewhere several times when people started talking about the phony c**sexual/ transsexual divide. If you just call it out as the gatekeepy anti NB/transmasc crap that it is under the hood, then they won’t be able to defend it anywhere that isn’t a trans woman only discord because they know it’s just toxic garbage.

I highly recommend the WonderSwan Color version. It’s a great looking remake and even includes a straight recreation of the Game Boy original.

I’m doing #RandomGameSaturday again with an old favorite of mine that I bring up sometimes. It’s RibbitKing! Complete with the original GameStop sticker gunk from 2004. It’s a cute little game about golfing with frogs on alien planets. Great to play with friends too. Check it out!
The box for RibbitKing on PlayStation 2 perched atop my old entertainment center next to a 5” PVM. The box art displays the cast of cartoony characters and one of the frogs they play the sport Frolf with. The same case now opened and displaying the two discs of RibbitKing. Disc 1 on the left contains the main game, and disc 2 on the right (RibbitKing Plus!) holds a collection of short 3D cartoons that the player can unlock as they progress through the game’s story.

This is the first taste of greater than average oppression white queers of my age have gotten and we have to stop freaking out so hard and realize it ain’t all about us. 🧵
Tumblr post by basil-lemonade: i don't think it's 100% exclusively white people who do this kinda doomerism but i absolutely think that it's pattern born of and perpetuated by the fact that tumblr culture is so incredibly and aggressively driven by usam white folks. like this performative suffering is exhausting, especially when it comes (as it so often does) with an insulting side of implication that nothing in the history of the world has ever been as bad ever as it is now for... the predominantly white, western queer folks who are posting it. as if people all around the world have not been suffering for generations under western imperialist violence (and still built community, and still found joy); as if black & indigenous folks in the so-called united states have not been finding ways to joyfully uphold our cultures in a system built on our death and subjugation. but the loudest No Joy No Hope Everything Is Bad Forever voices tend to... not be the people actively feeling the heaviest impact of all this violence and it's conspicuous.
