Today is the first day that federal workers will see the shutdown reflected in their pay.

They will get a paycheck, but only a partial one (pay period began in September and workers will be paid for the days they worked before the shutdown.)

Powell skeptical that the Trump mega bill will boost economy -

"The biggest part of the bill was was making permanent existing law on taxes, I don't think we see it as particularly simulative. There should be some stimulus effect, but it shouldn't be significant over the next couple of years."
