just my cuddle-loving cat. she loves watching the outdoors, but is terrified of going there, back where she spent the first two years of her life

My v small disability stipend+insurance is ending in ~1-2 yrs, & I daydream abt receiving a few million $ grant (or lifetime income/insurance). With that I'd freely mentor health ethics &etc students/clinicians/etc & cut gems for my friend for decades.

Otherwise? I'll be dead in < 5 yrs.

today, on Trans Day of Remembrance, my therapist of 4+ years cancelled all future sessions with me, after she was upset about the election and, essentially, took it out on me while framing herself as a victim and me as an antagonist not deserving of personhood or care, simply bc I am a trans woman.

because this has gotten some attention: I am also a lapidary artist, including gem 💎 cutting. examples on my Instagram, and here are a few pics for your pleasure!

so, when a neurologist uses the term "functional overlay" (aka, 'Hysteria') in a clinic note and underlines the entire sentence with the term (& no other underlines), what should the patient do?

Also, just in case, does anyone have a faceting machine (or faceting rough) that they'd like to sell me???

Anyone have a Chegg account who can look at one question (that references me in a negative way) and provide me a print-to-PDF or screenshots of the page with the "answer"?
Thank you!

Dragons! About 26" long in anodized aluminum with eyes made of south sea shell pearls. Easily made into a necklace, if you're interested in this or another dragon, then please DM me!

Remember! There's still time to make me an offer on anything I have shown or that you'd like to commission.

in my PhD program, several of the people in the cohort that came after me assaulted me. it's been 10 years, and today one of those nurses decided that she needed to try some enhanced transmisogyny attacks. the white feminists never fucking get enough, do they?

cat for algorithm 🙃

Another fidget toy!

The spiraling shiny bright aluminum chainmaille rings turned within & without make it quite striking in the sun.

This is the tightest it can be, but can be any length, and with a clasp it's a bracelet, necklace, etc.

~ 1.25" (3.2cm) thick

This, & anything custom, is for sale!

I just got off the phone w/an office manager at an urgent care in Chicago's south loop. They used to do drive-through & walk-up outdoor covid testing. Easy & convenient for those living/working close by.

Currently their website has a giant red button at the top in all caps "schedule covid-19 test"

my Public Health friends:

Honestly, is this something we didn't know?

It was definitely known by me almost 20 years ago, working as a staff nurse in a community-based clinic, ped onc unit, & urgent care.

Without having had any trans/queer community, I assumed "Em"* was novel 😅

Decades ago I was enraptured with Renaissance scholar, physician, writer, and occasional monk Francois Rabelais, and Rabelais follows Em so well.

*I had been thinking about Emmeline, which is long for Em
