A few meters of ws2812 led strips are always nice. (RGB LEDs that can be individually controlled)

Esp32 have ledc pwm circuit inside, just tell it frequency and you can set duty cycle as required, other than that one mosfet for the actual switching and done. if you get camera interference just change frequency

Hm I find it nice that mine has a open source firmeware, as it allows to patch in features. Eg. add a menu to reduce usb power request to use with weaker power supplies at the cost of slower soldering.
Is this necessary? No, but it allows features that otherwise would not exist at this price point
