To make things weirder (and to illustrate your point) he also had an old dog who had seizures who of course he had empathy for and cared for… it’s so odd to not be able to have empathy for a cat but to be so patient with a dog?? As if one is more worthy of care

I once had a (former) partner tell me that since my friends cat who I cat sit for needed pills and insulin she should just let him die, meanwhile he is the happiest coziest cat! (Needless to say we didn’t stay together long after that)
