Otroligt att, som en historiker, jag tänkte aldrig på just den här punkten! I vissa sett så är det ju mycket bättre nu än förut. Det är ju synd att det kommer med så mycket hat mot oss transpersoner, men ändå är det någonting att fira!

Thank you for doing this. This fundraiser will help so many in my community, myself included.

I have a little micro library in my home, and every time a guest checks out one of my trans* studies books, my heart gets a little lighter.

In using this quote I want to also acknowledge that Marilyn Frye is in many ways deeply problematic in her takes of transness. At the same time, I do appreciate this quote for the way it highlights some of the roots of trans misogyny.

We can’t know the future, or if things will be as bad as they were in Nazi Germany, or during the Lavender Panic, but if so, make it impossible to erase you. Make it so future generations know your story. Make your ghost haunt the legacies of the monsters who worked to destroy you.

If you don’t already, start a journal, be it written, typed, drawn or audio. Honestly document your experiences, feelings, and the world around you. Let loved ones know where you keep your story and their backups —side note: if you can, back shit up!— so if the worst happens, they will survive. 2/?

Your tireless work to summarize the bills has kept me from anxiously and compulsively scanning the legislation listings all month. You are my hero.
