But the level of interaction could absolutely be better than it is, and increasing it will make the scene better. The idea that you need to beat your head into a brick wall solo to overcome a challenge or else you weren't really trying is just not true and goes against how people learn.

The more interaction between levels you have in your scene, the more skills will transfer down. Im not saying this level is 0!! There are plenty of people doing great coaching and making videos (I loved your tempo/anti tempo video btw) and doing stuff that improves the scene!

Respectfully, this is nonsense. Humans improve at skills better when they talk to and interact with people better at the skill than they are. This isn't a splatoon thing, or a gaming thing, this is just how ideas spread on a fundamental level.

Being a real community is incompatible with this "actually you don't owe anyone anything" mindset that is so trendy these days. Sure, you don't have to play with anyone you don't want! You have that choice! But that choice directly contributes to stagnation in the scene.

Not a TTRPG but I think Marvel Black Suns really nailed this with their terrain interactions using a different resource than normal attacks so you're encouraged to figure out how to manage both to maximize actions in a turn
