art, stories, poems, some horses, books, plants, movement, meditation. in my Bartleby lifestage.
I… like horses very much but plot wise this was. A lot and somehow not enough?

Characters didn’t bode super well for attempts at writing outside of one’s identity lane.

I will be even more closely following your emotional support horse journey. My barn owners indoor arena collapsed with all the snow. 😭

This was an odd one made v good by a superb narrator.

Uneasy book about a poet who works with an AI to write a long poem. Michaels worked with an AI to write parts of the book.

It felt a bit unsatisfying. I wanted the younger generation to lash out at the poet.

First time seeing Come From Away. Cried through the whole thing basically (mostly
happy tears). Why do hospitality and kindness feel like historical artifacts?

Did not cream butter and sugar together. Butter was cold and chunky. Was sure this would be a failure. Best cookies I’ve ever made.

Greta agrees: snow covering bare branches is somehow less cold than other snow.

Finished #DESPERADA by Sofia Mostaghimi. Reminded me of MY YEAR OF REST AND RELAXATION but add in grief, travel, sex addiction (v. hetero). Annoying but funny narrator. Some v. fresh images. I liked it. Will *never* recommend to my mother. Beautifully narrated! #books
