Ironically Texas is one of the other states that has a law banning other states' guards from deploying without the Texas governor's consent.

If you've never read a Judge George Fearing decision, this is a classic.

Chef's kiss.

Free speech absolutist.

What is hugely ironic is that this language mirrors exactly what they had accused the platforms of doing against conservatives for years.

Glad everyone is on the same page that it is bad to harass away fans at Seahawks games and you should definitely not throw things at them or you'll be arrested

The Hummocks just downstream of Mt St Helens is one of the most striking and beautiful landscapes I've ever seen, especially given it's very recent history.

So glad we went a little further than we meant to today

Oh Olympia.

Now, a city council candidate, instead of looking for the actual quote, picked up this bad paraphrase, and takes it the next few feet, building a myth around the magnet theory, that Olympia is specifically important the unhoused to boost their budget.

Which the overseas reporter mangled the quote, implying that Olympia was bringjng in unhoused people from outside the city, instead of from state highway rights-of-way inside the city.

Here is what councilmember Dani Madrone actually said:

"local governments are in this position of, you know, the state said, "Here's some money to get the folks without housing Off state lands, bring them into your jurisdiction, and then, you know, you better hope we continue to fund it."

One of my pet peeves about living in a state capital is locals using the dome as a local icon. But I'm willing to live with it.

But if you demand to use it for your organization or event, use the correct dome.

My daughter asked me for a Star Wars watching order. I don't care if you agree with my proposed order, all I want to say what an age that she can start with Andor.

Also: this was almost immediately after asking me if Star Wars was political.

I love this hand wringing about the end of suburban sprawl.

I'm sorry, is it the free market or government investment? I cannot tell.

There is a bear leaning on (apparently) a strawberry tree on the Atlético Madrid crest because, in 1222, Madrid’s council claimed the forests; the bear stood to show control of timber. The tree’s ID as strawberry may stem from a mix-up, or just artistic flair.

This is what I'm talking about. This is a quick, agile reframe that allows folks who are active online and we'll informed (if not open minded) to be resilient against information that might undermine their broader belief structure

You want to know what's wild?

States that ranked high on this list of ALEC labor policy also ranked low on the human development index.

Just wild.

What an interesting point in a news website that employs overseas reporters to watch videos of local meetings.
