Here's some photos from Kerrville Fleece and Fiber Fest!

It's our second year attending. We picked up some fleece to process and got to hear Katie from Right Choice Shearing speak!

We entered some of our skeins to be judged for feedback. Results below.

@allaroundartisan.bsky.social took first place in several categories for her spinning. Just under one year of experience. She entered both drop spindle and acoustic wheel spun. Heritage wool, fine wool, and mixed. I entered one skein and took first in my category. Under one year experience. Electric wheel spun.Fine wool. My husband crocheted a hat just in time for the festival. This was his first project. He's still going strong making dinosaur plushies. One of the German angora rabbits sold by Rowdy Ranch. His name was Skittles, and he was so sweet. These guys have to be hand shorn every 3 months.

I've finished off that rambouillet, and now I'm trying to spin the rest of my gulf coast.

I previously acid dyed this, and I've hand spun a portion of it to make a small rabbit plushie. 🧶

Recently, i went to the Kerrville Fleece and Fiber show and picked up some rambouillet to spin. I'll be posting pictures from the trip later!

About 4oz of rambouillet wool from yarn dragon fibers. The colorway was "heart of texas"

I feel like I made it too tall, but it can be folded in half and feels right. 🧶

Finished spinning the last of my prepared hand dyed Gulf Coast native wool.

Plied it, and now it's soaking to set the twist.
