BAFTA nominations thread I guess? Very happy for FLOW to be nominated in the Animated Film category. Really enjoyed the moment at this Q&A when director Gints Zilbalodis had to explain the concept of death to an audience made of up children. Tbf their questions were way better than the usual BS.

My extended thoughts on The Brutalist for Radio Times. What a film! www.radiotimes.com/movies/the-b...
The Brutalist review: An epic in length, weight and ambition
Brady Corbet's Oscar-tipped epic is a film rich with history, which speaks volumes about America and its uneasy relationship with immigrants.

I rounded off my goth week with the chilling The Girl with the Needle by Magnus von Horn. Strikingly shot like a silent film. It boasts superb performances and is nearly as bleak AF as Dancer in the Dark. A properly horrible gothic horror. Out January 10th in the UK.
